Wish It Be True
TODAY'S WEATHER REPORT
Waking up today in Redwood Creek will be like getting the first lick of an abandoned ice cream cone before all the ice cream melts:
Delicious but a little cold.
Yes, yes, you might be wondering whether I could really find melting ice cream in November. If you are, you perhaps have not heard of me or my talents. I'm Ramblie and I'm the Official Head of Animal Welcome for Redwood Creek. I live here with my friends Rose, Lion, Taj, Pinda, Makoto and Alohi. Lion is a lion, Pinda is a tree kangaroo and I'm a raccoon. Rose, Taj, Makoto and Alohi are kids. Humans.
I give tours on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. And when any animal shows up asking for a tour. Are you asking for a tour? You can look at the map and you'll see where to meet me. And you can see where my friends live. And you can start guessing where I'll be looking for ice cream today.

Did you guess Angel's Bakery?
Oh my, you're pretty smart. Or lucky? Maybe your weather will be lucky today, too.
I sure hope so!
Hugs to you my friend,
Ramblie
p.s. My friend Erika, from Rose and Lion Leadership for Children, wants you to know that "Wish It Be True" is a blog about weather in Redwood Creek. Except it's not just about weather-weather. It's about internal weather and external weather.
p.p.s. She also wants you to know I'll tell stories about my adventures here, too.
"Obviously," I said to her. "Do I really need to say that?"
She seemed to think it would be helpful to SET EXPECTATIONS. (Adults speak in capital letters, don't they?)
"My goodness," I replied. "When I give tours of Redwood Creek, I tell stories all the time. I will invite everyone to my tours. I will tell stories. I will - obviously - share where to get ice cream and how to scrape the best parts of the cone from the sidewalk."
So, now you know I am generous and full of very helpful information.
And you are officially invited to my stories, my tours and my tips.
And, if we're lucky (and I think we just established that we are?!), perhaps we'll hear from my friends, too.
My PREDICTED internal weather: Lucky
Yesterday's weather: Lonely - but I hadn't met YOU yet!
